Looking for a free Halloween event in Hoover, AL? Join us for HalloweenFest 2026: Heroes & Haunts at the Hoover Met Complex! This year, HalloweenFest teams up with the Hoover Police and Fire departments’ Public Safety Night Out for one big free family night at the Finley Center.
Why Attend HalloweenFest?
HalloweenFest is one of Hoover’s favorite free Halloween events for kids and families, and this year it’s bigger than ever. More than 4,000 people are expected for trick-or-treating with 50–60 local vendors, a kids zone, a costume contest, and a hands-on look at police cars and fire trucks.

What You’ll Experience
Kids can dress up and trick-or-treat with local vendors all evening. The kids zone has face painting, inflatables, games, prizes and a costume contest. Families can meet Hoover’s police officers and firefighters, explore their vehicles and equipment, and take photos with police cars and fire trucks. Grab some free popcorn and settle in for a Halloween movie, with music playing all night.
Plan Your Visit
- Costumes are encouraged!
- Concessions will be sold inside the Finley Center and in the parking lot. The Met is a cashless venue, so bring a card or mobile payment.
- Parking is free. The Finley Center lot will be used for the event, so please park in the surrounding lots.
