Everyone gets plenty of time to climb, but exactly how long you climb is completely up to you. Most groups find that 90 minutes of climbing is perfect, leaving 30 minutes for food and fun!

HOOVER CLIMBING & ADVENTURE POLICIES

It is our primary and ultimate goal to ensure that you and your guests have THE BEST TIME EVER at Hoover Climbing & Adventure! Please help us make the reservation process easy by reviewing the following policies prior to placing your reservation.

MAKING RESERVATIONS

Group Reservations must be made over the phone or in person at least 7 days in advance. Any changes to an existing reservation (date, time-slot, or number of climbers) must be made at least 7 days in advance. Requests for changes made less than 7 days prior to the event date are not guaranteed, but may be accommodated at the discretion of Hoover Climbing & Adventure management.

Obtain rsvp’s early!

If a lower-than-expected number of climbers attends an event, and you have NOT informed us of the change in the number of climbers at least 7 days prior to the event, you will be charged for the event package as reserved.

All reservations are final

If a reservation holder should call at least 7 days in advance to change an event date, without having a future date in mind, the deposit charged to the account holder will be considered “in-house credit” toward an event in the future. This credit must be utilized within one year of the original event date, or it will be forfeited.

In the event that a reservation holder should simply cancel or “no-show” during the reserved timeframe, there will be no “in-house credit” given.

We hope that you find these policies reasonable and fair. In order to staff your event for maximum safety and fun, we will provide you with one coach for every 8 climbers. This is why it is so important that we have an accurate count of climbers at least a week in advance. We thank you for your consideration so that we may provide the best services to all our event guests.
– Hoover Met Complex Management Staff

RESERVATION DEPOSITS

At the time of reservation you will be asked to provide a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card to have on file with your account. Hoover Climbing & Adventure will charge a $100 reservation fee to the credit card account as a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Payment of the balance of the event fee, as well as any extras and gratuities, will be accepted at the conclusion of your event.

EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING

Climbing harnesses are provided for each guest. We recommend clothing that allows freedom of movement. However, baggy pants and short shorts should be avoided as they can make the harness uncomfortable for some. Girls should not wear skirts or dresses.

To climb, fully-closed shoes are required. No sandals, flip flops, Crocs, or Vibram Five Fingers are allowed.

STAFFING, SUPERVISION, & SAFETY

Safety, supervision, and service are our top priorities. The Party Guide acts as your host and group facilitator for the duration of your event. Additionally, we provide 2 guides for your event (more are provided for larger events). Staff provides a safety orientation, outfits the gear, handles the safety ropes and coaches guests. Most of all, they make sure everybody has a great time! Tips are not included. If you feel that your guides do a great job, feel free to let them know.

Before climbing your guides will review our Safety Rules. Some areas of the facility may be off limits, and that will be discussed at the beginning of your party. We do not allow piñatas, confetti, or noise makers. We actively enforce our Safety Rules and ask for your support in following and enforcing them with your group.

FACILITIES

Refreshments are to be served in your private party room. Food and drinks are not allowed in the climbing areas.

All food and drinks must be purchased through one of our approved catering partners. While most parties bring their own cake, we do not allow any other outside food or drinks.

The party room must be vacated promptly at your party’s end time. Please let us know when booking if you anticipate needing more time or if you expect a larger number of guests than included in your package.

AGE & HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS

The minimum age for Hoover Climbing & Adventure is 5 years. Minimum height is 48 inches.

We make age-appropriate modifications for younger groups by limiting group size and duration of events or admissions.

RESCHEDULING & EVENT CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a cancellation, your deposit is non-refundable. Full price will be charged for cancellations less than 48 hours before the event start time.

If a reservation holder should call at least 7 days in advance to change an event date, without having a future date in mind, the deposit charged to the account holder will be considered “in-house credit” toward an event in the future. This credit must be utilized within one year of the original event date, or it will be forfeited.

In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule without a rescheduling fee. If this is not possible then a full deposit refund will be made.

WAIVER

Each participant under the age of 18 must have a waiver completed and signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Our waiver can be found online and at the facility. There is no exception to this policy. Please avoid disappointment by ensuring that everyone in your group has a completed waiver.
